Meet Denise.

For most of her life, Denise was satisfied with using over-the-counter skincare products. During her first pregnancy, however, her face started to develop dark and discolored blotches. After giving birth, the condition remained.

“It was unsightly to say the least. No product or make-up that I tried could correct or cover up the discoloration,” Denise said. "I was frustrated with my skin, and tired of wasting so much money on products with empty promises. Nothing worked. In fact, it got worse during summer months."

Melasma is a skin condition that produces dark, irregular patches on the face, often on the upper cheek, nose, lips, upper lip, and forehead. Because melasma can be caused by overproduction of melanin by sex hormones when skin is exposed to the sun, it is commonly found in pregnant women.

“I finally found my answer!" she exclaimed. “I started using a skincare system sold right in the office called Obagi Nu-Derm.”

Obagi systems use prescription-grade ingredients to correct the function and health of skin starting at a cellular level. As a result, skin looks and acts dramatically younger and healthier. The system is only available through a doctor. It isn’t sold in stores.

“My doctor gave me a complete overview of the system. I started using it that night,” Denise said. Within four weeks of using the system, Denise noticed that the darker blotches were lightening. After 16 weeks, the difference was remarkable.
